Document Description
The City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department (CSBMWD, MWD or Department) proposes to install a new water pipeline connection between existing wells and the City water distribution system in Cajon Creek. The proposed project includes the replacement of approximately 750 lineal feet of water transmission pipeline. The existing 12-inch pipeline connects the Cajon Canyon well and the Vincent well, which was damaged during winter flood events of 2005. The pipeline is located within the middle portion of Cajon Creek. The new pipeline will be installed by opening a trench along the existing pipeline alignment, either removing the existing pipeline or leaving it in place, installing the new 12-inch water pipeline, and then closing the trench, including compacting the soil cover to meet compaction requirements needed to protect the pipeline within the creek channel.
