Document Description
The project will repair 155 stream-crossings that pose a risk of failure in the immediate future. Old rusting, crushed, broken, undersized, or improperly installed culverts will be replaced by new rock armored crossings, culverts, and bridges properly sized to pass the 100-year flood flow. The approach to the crossings will be reengineered to improve road drainage, and fail-safe dips will be installed where necessary to prevent stream diversion. In addition, two 0.2-km dead end sections of road will be recontoured and associated crossings removed because they have a high potential to fail, and are not needed as part of the administrative road system.
