Document Description
The 13-acre project will install a new lift station and approximately 10,000 linear feet of 8-inch and 12-inch polyvinyl chloride sewer force main and appurtenances. Construction will mostly be performed by open trench installation at a depth ranging from 8 feet to 15 feet. Approximately 1,000 linear feet of the sewer force main will be placed below Morrison Creek, a seasonal wetland swale, and the Union Pacific Rail line though the use of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) techniques. The HDD procedure will include a 48-inch diameter by 0.75-inch-thick steel casing for the force mains that will maintain a minimum of 5-feet clearance from the creek bottom.
