Document Description
The project proposes: (1) developing a new Mixed Use (MU) Combining District zoning designation for the City; (2) amending the General Plan land use designation on the project site from Industrial to Very High Density Residential (45 to 65 du/ac), which includes a new General Plan policy statement limiting the use of the northern 0.28 acre of the project site near SR 237 to open space only; and (3) rezoning the project site from Industrial and Service (M-S) to High Density Residential and Office with a Mixed Use Combining District (R-5/MU). The proposed project would allow for the demolition of two existing industrial office buildings and construction of up to 430 residential units and between 14,400 and 72,200 square feet of commercial and/or office uses on-site.
