Document Description
The Operator proposes the construction and installation of three temporary bridge watercourse crossings in Class I (i.e., fish-bearing) watercourses. The bridge crossings are proposed on the Gualala Redwoods Inc. ownership in tributaries to the mainstem Gualala River and the South Fork Gualala River, Sonoma County. The bridges are proposed to allow timber harvesting and river gravel mining equipment to access work sites throughout the ownership. The North Fork Confluence Summer Bridge is planned as a temporary bridge crossing of the North Fork Gualala River located approximately 100 feet upstream from its confluence with the mainstem Gualala River. The Rockpile Creek Summer Bridge is planned as a temporary bridge crossing of Rockpile Creek, located approximately 500 feet upstream from its confluence with the South Fork Gualala River. The Buckeye Creek Summer Bridge is proposed as a temporary bridge crossing of Buckeye Creek, located approximately 600 feet upstream from its confluence with the South Fork Gualala River. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2006-0428-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Henry Alden of Gualala Redwoods, Inc.
