This project would trim or remove approximately 200 dead or dying pine and oak trees throughout Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. The trees to be removed have been deemed a hazard due to their proximity to park facilities and public camping areas. Trees to be removed have died or are dying due to past fire damage (2004 Cedar Fire -- a Declared Emergency), drought, and/or disease.
