The project sponsor proposes to construct a Home Depot on the foot print of the existing Sears Department Store. The project would result in the demolition of the Sears Department Store. The project would not utilize the entire footprint of the existing buildings; it would have a net decrease of approximately 30,000 s.f. in retail space. The proposed project would have 129,000 s.f. of commercial space, including a 93,300 s.f. home improvement store with a 19,000 s.f. outdoor Garden Center, a 15,500 s.f.mezzanine, and a 1,260 s.f. vestible.
