Document Description
Granite is proposing to develop 178 acres of the 356 acre project site for incremental phased mining at an estimated rate of 332,000 cy (450,000 net tons) per year. The average mining depth would continue to be 100 ft below ground surface. The total excavation area would ultimately occupy 291.5 acres of the 469.5 acre property. The remaining 178 acres will be undisturbed and left as open space for habitat for the desert tortoise and other threatened or endangered species.
