The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to improve the overall safety of the three intersections: 1) State Route (SR) 138 at Palmdale Blvd., 2) SR 138 at 47th St. East, and 3) Palmdale Blvd. at 47th St. East/50th Street East by consolidating the three intersections with a modern roundabout at the intersection of Palmdale Blvd and 47th St. in the City of Palmdale in the County of Los Angeles. Sidewalks and lighting are also being proposed.
