Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2015-0001-R4, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Springville Public Utility District.
The Project is part of activities related to the installation of treatment process improvements at an existing water treatment plant. The construction of a 50-foot portion of the pipeline is expected to impact the bed, bank, channel, and riparian zone of the Tule River. The utility district will utilize a subterranean collector pipe installed underneath the riverbed to collect and divert water, in lieu of an above-ground structure that would utilize screens. A trench 4 foot deep by 3 feet wide will be dug to accommodate the installation of the pipeline. Excavated materials (approximately 8 cubic yards) plus additional construction materials will be used to recontour the bank.
