Document Description
FYI Final 1 CD A Revised Final EIR has been prepared for the formation of a Wiseburn Unified School District from the Wiseburn School District and corresponding portion of the Centinela Valley Union High School District in Los Angeles County. A Draft EIR was prepared in July of 2008 and circulated for a 45-day public review period from July 7, 2008 to August 21, 2008. A Final EIR was then circulated to commenters on October 12, 2009 (Previous Final EIR). Since public circulation of the Previous Final EIR, the WSD opened two charter high schools, obtained voter approval for a General Obligation Bond to construct a new high school, and prepared a site-specific project level EIR for a new high school. Additionally, State legislation was passed enabling the creation of a joint powers authority that will substantially resolve debt and bonding issues that arose from consideration of the proposal to form a WUSD. Therefore, a Revised Final EIR has been prepared to address whether there have been changes in circumstances between 2009 and 2013 that would (1) result in new significant impacts not disclosed in the DEIR and (2) update responses to comments to changes in circumstances that have occurred since preparation of the Previous Final EIR.
