Document Description
The proposed project is and ordinance amendment to the Malibu Municipal Code (M.M.C.) Title 17 (Zoning) to provide development standards for new public parks. The ordinance amendment would allow pocket parks in all zoning districts as a permitted use and community parks in all zoning districts subject to a conditional use permit (CUP). The ordinance amendment provides park development standards pertaining to parking, fencing, permitted activities, temporary uses, and site design. Also included are standards for setbacks, facility siting and grading limits for park development. Grading required for sports fields designed to commonly accepted dimensions would be exempt from some grading limitations.
