Document Description
In response to the discovery of early quagga mussel infestation within the Colorador River, Metropolitan has initiated a Quagga Mussel Control Program (QMCP). The purpose of the QMCP is to develop a comprehensive plan that incorporates enhanced detection, surveillance and mitigation strategies. Phase I will address immediate quagga mussel detection, surveillance, and mitigation strategies and studies to be commenced immediately and continue for the next six months. The results of Phase I will be used to prioritize infrastructure upgrades and to develop routine control measures for later phases of the QMCP.
