Document Description
The Project will further restoration efforts on 71.5 acres of coasts dunes on the North Spit of Humboldt Bay through removal of invasive plants and planting natives. Project involves: 1) removing the following invasive plants from Friends of the Dunes, BLM, and USFWS dunes properties: Yellow bush lupine (50 ac). Ice plant (20 ac), Annual grasses (1 ac), and 2) Hand removal of European beachgrass from 0.50 ac of foredune at FOD's Humboldt Coastal Nature Center. Native beachgrass plugs will be planted along the western side of the foredune.
