The proposed project consists of the construction of a three-story, five bedroom single-family dwelling, requiring about 1,600 cubic yards of grading within a Coastal Scenic Area. The proposal requires a Coastal Development Permit, Preliminary Grading Approval, a Variance to increase the number of stories to three, Design Review, Soils Report Review, and Geologic Report Review. The project is located on the northeast side of Beach Drive, about one mile southeast of Rio del Mar Boulevard on the bluff side, 500 feet past the entry gate to the private road.
