Document Description
The proposed project will upgrade and expand the wastewater treatment plant to meet the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board Cease and Desist Order. The proposed project will increase the treatment plant and pumping station capacity from 0.252 million-gallons per day to 0.5 million-gallons per day. The City intends to construct a new extended aeration biological treatment process to replace the existing mechanical surface aerated pond system. The City will convert the aeration basin and two sedimentation ponds into evaporation/percolated ponds. For the added percolation capability, the City will construct a new lift station with two 800 gallons per minute pumps, and add a 12-inch forcemain parallel to the existing eight-inch forcemain to accommodate increased flows.
