Document Description
This project involves the repair, restoration, and re-use of the Power House on the Cal Poly campus. Constructed in 1908, the building is on the National Register of the Historic Places. The repaired and restored building will be used for displays, community outreach, educational seminars, a resource library and offices. The work consists of structural, electrical, plumbing and interior repair and rehabilitation to bring the currently de-commissioned building into serviceable use. All work will be done in a manner consistent with the "Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings."
