Document Description
During the winter storms of 2005/2006 two of the four operating lanes at this location were lost. The project proposes the reconstruction of the four-lane highway, construction of a tie-back retaining wall to stabilize the roadway, replacement of a separated culvert, construction of a new inlet channel, installation of two headwalls, and rocking an existing eroded stream channel. Roadway reconstruction will be to the pre-slide orientation. The retaining wall design is intended as a permanent solution to the chronic slip-out problems at this location in the past.
