Class 1(c), (l)(4): The project involves the operation, repair, permitting, and minor alteration of an existing surface parking lot, and related demolition and removal of accessory structures from the lot and similar activities.
Class 4(b): The project involves minor alterations to land, including planting new landscaping and building a masonry sound wall around the perimeter of the site. Existing mature trees will be retained on site.
Class 11(b): The project involves replacement of an existing surface parking lot with a surface parking lot for existing students of a community college. SMC students that had been parking near the Santa Monica beach at 2600 Barnard Way will instead be directed to park in this lot.
Class 30(b)(1), (7): The project will involve the removal of existing natural gas filling stations and appurtenant equipment from the site. The project will also involve the reduction of existing storm water runoff from the site through installation of appropriate on-site detention and percolation systems and implementation of best management practices to remove standard parking lot contaminants from the runoff.
Class 32: The project is an infill project involving continuation of an existing surface parking lot in the LMSD Zone. The project consists of less than five acres and is substantially surrounded by urban uses. The project site has no value as habitat for endangered, rare or threatened species.
