Document Description
The Project will increase disinfection capacity of the Clear Creek WWTP's peak wet weather flow to 40 million gallons per day (MGD). A new chlorine evaportor disinfection system will be constructed to disinfect flows up to 40 MGD, thus increasing the treatment capacity of the Clear Creek WWTP. Project construction also includes modification of the existingaeration basins and constructionof a new aeration blower building. The existing 3 aeration basins will be renovated by reconfiguring the interior basin walls, installing new baffle walls, and replacing the existing surface aerators with a fine bubble aeration system. Fine bubble diffusers will be installed on the basin floors of the second partition in each of the aeration basins. A Mixed Liquor Return and Return Activated Sludge (RAS) distribution system and a RAS flow meter vault will be constructed to support the aeration system operations. The Clear Creek WWTP's existing potable water system is used for sanitary facilities and lab samples, while the non-potable water system is used for non-potable utility water and landscaping. Piping for both of these systems will be rehabilitated, as needed, due to corrosion and insufficient flow capacity.
