Document Description
The proposed project consists of the adoption of an updated General Plan for the City of Mendota. The last update to the City's General Plan occurred in 1991. The proposed City of Mendota General Plan (2005-2025) includes the following elements: Land Use, Circulation, Open Space and Conservation, Safety and Noise. The proposed General Plan includes an expanded Planning Area that will result in a request to amend the City's existing Sphere of Influence (SOI) by approximately 3,500 acres. The City of Mendota will be the lead agency for preparation of a programmatic EIR that will analyze the potential impacts that may result from adoption and implementation of the General Plan land uses within the proposed SOI boundary.
