- CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0140-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Mr. Tom Hayden. The project is limited to activities associated with the annual maintenance/repairs to an existing headgate and fish screen; and the diversion of water from Patterson Creek, Diversion Numbers 400-7 and 401-7 (Pipe Ditch), pursuant to the Applicant's lawful water right (Scott River Adjudication, No. 30662, Jan. 30, 1980). The combined total maximum water right is 6.0 cubic feet per second from April 1 to Oct. 15 for Domestic/irrigation use, and a year round water right of 0.3 cfs for stock water use. The Pipe Ditch Diversion vortex boulder weirs were repaired/reconstructed in 2007 and was funded by the 2006 Klamath River Restoration Grant Program. Maintenance of the diversion intake and fish screen involves the periodic removal of built up debris and silt from around the fish screen using hand tools including shovels, working on screen mechanics, and the occasional minor replacement of hand-stacked rocks on the weir to direct water flow towards teh ditch entrance.
