Document Description
The project involves the remediation of the East Slag Pile Landfill Area, which is owned by CCG Ontario, LLC and located within the Operable Unit No. 3 on the former Kaiser Steel Mill site. The East Slag Pile on which the ESP Landfill Area lies, was used to store slag, a by-product of iron and steel production, from the inception of plant operations in 1942 until 1983.
