Document Description
The 2007 Amendment proposes to add territory to the area included within the Brawley Redevelopment Project No. 4. The primary objective of the 2007 Amendment is to provide for a variety of possible redevelopment activities pursuant to the California Community Redevelopment Law (CCRL; Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.), within the Added Territory, and to help further similar redevelopment activities within the project. Such activities are designated to help remedy deficient physical and economic conditions. To help achieve this objective, Agency activities could include, but may not necessarily be limited to the following: provision of affordable housing in the community, construction and/or rehabilitation of structures; infrastructure upgrades for wastewater, drainage, water and circulation systems; community facilities improvements; and economic development, among other things. While not proposed as specific projects at this time, these actions are possible activities that may be undertaken with respect to the Added Territory over the 30-year effective life of 2007 Amendment.
