This portion of Riverside County has been under a declared State of Emergency due to the excessive fuels situation since 2003. Trees will be removed according to California Forest Practice Rules and within guidelines dictated by department policy and the district's biologist, archaeologist, and historian. This project is addressed within the NCRS Emergency Watershed Protection Program EA submitted to the State Clearinghouse (SCH# 2004071154).
