Document Description
The applicant proposes construction of a 10,000 square foot aircraft hangar at the general aviation side of Jack McNamara Field otherwise community referred to as the Crescent City Airport. The project site is among existing hangars at the airport and within the secure area. The hangar will be 100 feet by 100 feet square and have a height of 35 feet which is required in order to accommodate the dimensions of the aircraft and the height of the aircraft's tail. The aircraft is a G4. The floor design is sloped to a central drain which will include an oil/water separator. Roof drains are designed to collect roof run off and a detention basin will slow peak discharges to the adjacent drainage ditch. The project will require relocation of a fire hydrant, some paving of an existing graded and/or gravel surface to connect to taxiways, and the placement of gravel over existing graded and partially graveled surface for emergency access. The site has been tentatively approved by the FAA as the project site meets the airport runway safety zone height restrictions.
