Document Description
This is the Department of Water Resource's Responsible Agency NOD for the Courtland Creek Restoration Project, within the Measure DD Implementation Project Environmental Impact Report. The Project will restore riparian habitat along approximately 950 feet of the following three heavily degraded reaches of creek channel in Courtland Creek Park: Brookdale Reach (upstream) - 510 ft.; Congress Reach (middle) - 280 ft., and Thompson Reach (downstream) - 140 ft. The four main restoration components for the Project include flow containment, bank stabilization, revegetation after non-native plant removal, and recreation access improvements. In addition, the City seeks to improve the creek’s stewardship through environmental education and outreach events.
