Document Description
CDFW has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0232-R6 (Revision 3), pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the County of San Bernardino Dept. of Public Works. The West Fontana Channel Flood Control Improvement Project includes construction of approx. 3 miles of concrete channel from Banana Basin to approx. 640 feet west of Juniper Ave. The concrete channel will be constructed at up to 10 feet in width and 4.5 feet in depth. The project will concrete-line approx. 5.82 acres of trapezoidal earthen channel, and channel containing ungrouted rock debris and riprap. Where there is sufficient right-of-way, the channel will feature adjacent parallel bioswales over approx. 7600 linear feet. Each area of bioswale shall be planted according to the calculated inflow of stormwater, and will consist of either highly, moderately, or lightly vegetated areas.
