Flood control channel / Regional Industrial (IR), unincorporated County area; Open Space-Resource (OS-R), City of Fontana area.
Expansion and lining of existing West Fontana Channel, re-sizing of two existing culverts, and construction of retention/flow-by basin at existing abandoned quarry pit adjacent to channel. Abandoned quarry pit will act as retention/flow-by basin that will reduce flows in channel. Proposal consists of three-phased channel improvement project.
