Document Description
The project operator proposes to repair the Washington Street Bridge over the Petaluma River. The area around the 13 column supports in the center of the bridge will be dewatered and dredged to allow access to the entire length of the columns and their steel piles. The columns and steel piles will be cleaned and any unsound concrete will be removed. Permanent encapsulation jackets made of concrete, fiber reinforced polymer, or some other protective material will be placed around the columns to shield them from the marine environment. The dredged river mud will be replaced once the repairs have been made. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2006-0311-3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
