A query of the California Natural Diversity Database in July of 2006 detected twelve potential sensitive species that could be found in this area. The results were reviewed with DFG. Two detailed walk-throughs of the area found that none of the species are present within the project area. In addition an archaeological records search was conducted, as well as a survey of the project area. No archaeological sites were found. A CDF contract archaeologist reviewed the project area and archaeological records and found no additional work was necessary. Burning will only be conducted on permissible air quality burn days.
