Document Description
The New Crystal Springs Bypass Tunnel Project consists of the construction of a tunnel, about 4,200 feet long with a 96-inch diameter pipeline in the tunnel for conveyance of drinking water to the regional water delivery system in San Mateo County and San Francisco. This project would be located in the SFPUC right-of-way along and near Polhemus and Crystal Springs Roads in San Mateo County. The tunnel would replace an existing pipeline that is subject to geologic hazards from slope instability. Construction of the project is scheduled to begin toward the end of 2008 and work is anticipated to continue through 2011.
