Document Description
The operator proposes to alter the streambed and bank through the maintenance activities within Santiago Creek to increase the rate and quantity of groundwater recharging along the creek. As a result of the scouring of the creek bottom from previous storms, the depositing of fill material into the creek and the accumulation of debris and weeds along the channel bottom, existing surface waters along the creek are confined to a limited portion of the creek channel. The proposed project would remove the existing debris and grade the channel bottom at three different segments of Santiago Creek to create a flatter surface that would allow the flow of surface water to spread out and cover a larger area.
