Document Description
The HUSD proposes the construction and operation of a new 750 student elementary school and a 1,450 student middle school. The new schools would serve students from kindergarten to grade eight, and are intended to accommodate the student population generated as a result of the new residential development in the project area. The project would include the construction of classroom, administrative and support buildings, turf-covered playfields, paved hardcourts and playground areas, parking and student drop off areas, and other amenities common to modern school design. The schools would be located immediately adjacent to one another, but would operate independently and would not generally share facilities. The Elementary School would begin operation in 2009 and the Middle School a year later in 2010.
