Document Description
Install ropes across the interior doors in Pine Lodge (Ehrman Mansion) at Sugar Pine Point State Park. Ropes will provide visitors with the opportunity to view the interior of the rooms they are not allowed to enter. A new gate will be installed across the staircase to the third floor to keep visitors from entering and will allow light to filter into the second floor hallway. The new staircase gate replaces a previously existing solid hatch covering across the stairway. Installation of the rope barriers completes the process of replacing once existing wooden fences which were used to bar visitors from entering rooms. Where possible, rope installation will utilize holes left in the door jambs by the removal of the wooden gates. One additional hole may be drilled for installation when necessary.
