IID proposes modifications to a previously approved project known as the IID Equitable Distribution Plan (EDP).The modified project apportions water to all water users and not just agricultural users and allows intra-district water transfers among all water users and not just agricultural water users. The apportionment and clearinghouse are implemented and administered by IID with the continued purpose of managing water within the annual 3.1 million acre feet of Colorado River water that IID is entitled to.
