The addition and/or modification of mechanical and electrical controls to existing water treatment facilities along with reconstruction to any water treatment process including disinfection equipment is considered a Class 1 exemption. This is to advise that the Department of Health Services has issued a water supply permit number 05-20-06PA-033 for the project on September 15, 2006, and has determined that the project is exempt from CEQA.
