Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15304
Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt from CEQA because no ground disturbance shall occur which would otherwise result in a significant impact to the environment. The planned method of work will be performed by hand with gas powered hand tools (i.e. chainsaws). The planned method of slash disposal is chipping and/or piling and burning. Mastication is another option to slash disposal. The intended mastication equipment typically has rubber tracks and leaves a light footprint that will not result in ground disturbance greater than the above described hand work operations.
