Document Description
The Emergency Repair of Upper Banvard and Newcastle Canals is for the temporary repair of raw water facilities that have leaks. There is a significant amount of water leaking through berms at both sites. The loss is so great that there is not enough water reaching customers at the end of the canals. This temporary repair will consist of placement of sandbags along the inside of the canal berms to reduce the loses enough to serve our existing customers, while maintaining some seepage to maintain downslope riparian vegetation.
