Document Description
NOTE: Document is a Recirculated Draft Program EIR.
Due to a high level of public interest, the City elected to recirculate certain chapters of the General Plan Update Draft EIR (GPU DEIR). The GPU is the comprehensive policy document that will direct development and conservation in Riverbank over the next 20 years. This GPU could accommodate up to 10,700 new dwelling units; 3.3 million square feet of new commercial, office, and industrial building spaces; as well as schools, parks, and other uses. The GPU describes the transportation network that will serve new neighborhoods and the existing City, in addition to the full range of other infrastructure and public services that will be required. The City has drafted a comprehensive array of policies to minimize environmental impacts associated with implementation of the GPU.
