Document Description
Preparation of a comprehensive update to the Lake County General Plan. The plan addresses all mandatory elments plus a geothermal element and a water resources element. The plan includes policies and implementation measures regarding future development within the County. The general plan update keeps many of the policies form the 1981 general plan, but includes a significant number of new and refined policies, including inflill and smart growth policies. Community area boundaries ar included for each of the communities within County jurisdiction, and policies are included to limit development outside of these boundaries to preserve agricultural soils and open space.
