Document Description
The transmission line and facility upgrades proposed by SDG&E are known as "Sunrise Powerlink" or "SRPL". The entire project would span a total of 150 miles (676 new towers), including a 91-mile 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line (in Imperial County and eastern San Diego County) and a new 59-mile 230 kV line (in central and western San Diego County) that includes both overhead and underground segments. It would also include a new substation in central San Diego County and upgrades at four existing substations.
