Document Description
The proposed project would redevelop portions of the Beverly Hilton Hotel through the introduction of 50 new Beverly Hilton Hotel rooms, a new conference center, new hotel office/ retail/ support facilities, a 120 room Waldorf Astoria Hotel, a restaurant, subterranean parking with 1,422 spaces, and new landscaping, as well as off-site roadway improvements. The project would result in a net reduction of 47 hotel rooms. Buildings to be demolished include the Wilshire Edge building containing a conference center and hotel offices, former Trader Vic's restaurant, Cabana/ Lanai Rooms building, Palm/ Oasis Court guestroom building, and parking structure. The existing Wilshire Tower would remain. Construction is anticipated to take four years with project buildout complete by 2012.
