Document Description
The proposed project consists of the development and operation of a solid waste transfer station and a materials recovery facility at one of three potential project sites in northern Sacramento. These operations would be located within a single, approximately 100,000 square foot building. A portion of the selected site would also include an area designated to receive and store household hazardous wastes and a recyclables drop-off/buy-back operation. The permitted peak tonnage would be 2,000 tons per day (tpd). The facility would receive incoming municipal solid waste, self-haul waste, green waste, and recyclables.
