Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0558-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Contra Costa Transportation Authority, as represented by Timothy Haile.
Project activities authorized through this Agreement are limited to installation of a temporary cofferdam and associated dewatering, widening the two sections of Walnut Creek Bridge approx. 58 feet, and bridge drainage system modification to accommodate the bridge widening. Modification of the existing east-bound southern section of the bridge will occur in the median and will increase the width of the bridge approx. 28.7 feet. Modification of the existing west-bound northern section of the bridge will occur similarly, in the median and with an increase in width of approx. 28.7 feet. The widened structure will consist of two cast-in-place reinforced concrete box girder decks anchored by four abutments, and supported by sixteen concrete piers mounted on a total of 96 piles.
