Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (#1600-2014-0011-R5) to the project applicant, Mission Resource Conservation District. The project is limited to the removal of exotic (non-native) vegetation within San Luis Rey River and tributaries to San Luis Rey River. Some exotic vegetation removal areas will be replanted with native vegetation, while other areas will be allowed to passively recolonize through natural recruitment of existing native vegetation. Exotic vegetation will be treated with herbicide approximately 4 months before the biomass is reduced using hand tools or mechanized equipment without excavating roots.
