Document Description
Construction of a system to pump water from the Coachella Canal and pump it through a new pipeline in the CVSC to new storage reservoirs at the CVWD Water Reclamation Plant No. 10, thus providing a substitute source of water, together with recycled water, for irrigation of up to 51 golf courses in the mid-Coachella Valley. This source substitution would reduce groundwater pumping and therefore overdraft in the portion of the valley - a project identified and evaluated at a programmatic level, including water quality and hydrologic effects, in the Coachella Valley Water Management Plan and Program EIR (CVWD, 2002). The present document is a Subsequent EIR that tiers off the Program EIR.
