The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California's (Metropolitan's) Board of Directors has authorized the Minor Capital Projects Program for Fiscal Year 2006/2007 to execute repair and rehabilitation capital projects costing less than $250,000. These projects are located throughout Metropolitan's conveyance/distribution system and treatment plants. This program supports repairs and upgrades for high-maintenance equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves, and for structural components, plumbing, electrical systems, and air conditioning and heating units.

Additionally, project means the whole of an action, which has a potential for resulting in either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment; project does not include the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities, which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
