SAFCA proposes to update existing local funding mechanisms for implementing flood system improvements along the Sacramento and American Rivers, Natomas Basin, and the Sacramento Yolo Bypasses. The proposed project would update existing local funding mechanisms to support flood control improvements, some of which have been added or expanded to comply with Federal and State flood protection requirements established since the existing funding mechanisms were evaluated in a previous Program EIR, certified in 2007 (SCH2006072098).
