Document Description
The replacement of the existing 30-year old Transbay Sanitary Sewer Force Main ductile iron pipe under San Diego Bay from the Transbay Lift Station at the Coronado Ferry Landing to Seaport Village in San Diego with a new 23-inch inside diameter, 3150 lineal foot long high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE). The project includes horizontal directional drilling under San Diego Bay, assembly of the HDPE pipe along the shoreline service road of the Coronado Golf Course, transporting of the pipe to the Coronado Transbay Lift Station and pulling the pipe under the Bay to the Embarcadero Marina Park - North parking lot on the San Diego side of the Bay. Cut and cover installation of the sewer line to a connection point in Seaport Village is included in the project as well as the rehabilitation of and possible secondary use of the existing sewer force main.
